    As someone that has seen hundreds of orientals, pure Malays included, Long doesn't have the characteristics of a full blooded Malay. The comb alone doesn't constitute purity.     It might be possible that Long is only half Malay, especially if the egg that Long hatched from was out of a mixed pen of chickens. It's not always only the dominant rooster that breeds the hen.

    These are from a breeder in Ohio. Notice the short beak on the rooster.
