Gotta put down my Splash Wheaten Malay Rooster today. He's got a bad infection all the sudden. Looks like he may have Sepsis(Blood infection), will be doing a necropsy today as well, to confirm diagnosis.

Decided to wait, on putting him down. He was like knocking on death's door yesterday, but has now perked up.

Splash Wheaten Rooster is beating the infection, so that's good.

I got a Small blue/green pullet egg. Wondering if it may have been from my POL Wheaten Malay pullet, despite her hatching from a brown egg, so only explanation I would think would be the rooster that fathered her was carrying the blue egg gene.

My camera doesn't do justice.

But if I don't get another one, I'm gonna assume it was a fluke from one of my colored Eggers in the coop.

Nope, the breeder of Indian Malays I ordered from last year.

I know it's not too uncommon to get some asiatic breeds that do lay blue eggs, I know it crops up in some lines of American Games that had Oriental/Asiatic ancestry.
