I just processed my first chickens!!! 3 of them!!!

Let's just say the Orpington mix was my least favorite! It had way too many feathers for my liking even with wetting them down.

All were 18 weeks old

1st attempt... As you can see I accidentally messed up the end of the drumstick, but still good. Very narrow bird, hard to get my hand in it and it wasn't very big. This was an Easter Egger mix cockerel...

2nd attempt... This is the Orpington mix cockerel 🙈 this was awful to do. So many feathers, but once they were off it was a breeze. A lot broader bird so it was easier to get the insides out.

3rd attempt... This was a Jersey giant barred rock cross that I made myself with my own flock. I raised this from the egg all the way to the end. I am very impressed with the meat on this bird and basically how it cleaned up. It was very broad so I could reach my hand in it and clean out the insides. It was just overall a lot easier to do a bigger bird like this one.
