Here’s one of my Easter babies. I have a question for any of you blue breeders. This little guy is from any one of my 5 Easter egger hens. Hatched from a blue egg. Dad is a Barred rock. Do you think this baby could end up blue or maybe blue barred? This is the only blue chick out of 27.

Sad update report. I lost one chick. #12. He pipped on the wrong end and when he hatched he lost a lot of blood. Must have nicked a vein. He also drug around his yolk sac and was bleeding from the navel. I knew he lost a lot of blood and was definitely weaker than normal. So back to 27 chicks...

Get some sleep while you can! Mine is just winding down and I’ve probably had 3 hours sleep in the last 24 hours. Set 30 eggs. Dropped one and cracked it and it died. But ive got one hatching and one DIS I’m afraid. Out of 30, I will have after this one hatches 28 chicks. 🤯

They are standard chicken eggs. Mostly Easter eggers and olive eggers x barred rock rooster. They just twitch and wobble very slightly but I can see them move.
