So I would try to catch her and then take her to the vet she is a backyard chicken (and Rohde island red to be exact) and they tend to be really calm I would say u can eat her eggs If u want to. The fact that she is follow in your dahter around is probably because she feels safe. Her beak probably won't grow back.

We did and we kept her. She is so docile, the girls love her. We call her Dove becuase of her mouth and her gentle disposition!

I bought 2 newhampshire reds from a feed store because I felt sorry for their mis trimmed beaks, and I had to hand feed them until they could eat on their own. They were awesome egg layers. Named Beebees, and Sunshine. Was worth the chance!!!
