Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

Pics
We relocated from SC back to NC at the end of August last year. We had to rehome our chickens and give our coop away. Now that we're settled I've gotten a new coop but haven't found chickens yet. I want to get pullets rather than chicks. I'm in the far west of the state, Cherokee County, if anyone knows of a reputable source for pullets in the area.

Hello! I am currently not home with my flock my gracious mother is taking care of them. Sad new one of my ducks got eaten by an eagle but my mom was able to get 3 more duck from someone up the road. Can't wait to meet them! Here I helped a couple chicks hatch from the incubator. One I was really concerned about because it's head stayed bent like it was in the egg but he got over that and is doing great. The other one had his feet curled and I saw someone on here said to put a masking tape sandwich on his feet for a few days which helped a lot so he is also doing much better and is happily running around with the 30 other babies from the incubator!

Not too much. Did a training project with my chickens, and should be getting them their novice-trick-chicken title from DMWYD soon. That's about all on the chicken front.

We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.

If that's you, come say hello and let us know what you've been up to. :)

(if that's not you, feel free to invite peeps you haven't seen in a while and say hi to those that post here)
I moved and had to rehome my flock a couple years ago but recently, March 1st got some chicks to raise and started building a coop. It's still as awesome as I remember it being the first-time but without the learning curve of being totally new to chick raising or chickens. I'm happy to be a chicken dad again. Anyway here is a pic of the coop.

I just got done with jury duty. It was grueling. We were deadlocked over half the charges, but they accepted the verdicts we did agree on. Still trying to put it behind me.
Wow, sounds intense!

Well, distracting yourself with lots of great chicken-talk here on BYC is a great way to forget all that other stuff ;)

Thanks for reaching out! Everybody is doing alright over here just been busy working lately, still posting vids of the ducks on tiktok @johnsducks posting at least one short video of the ducks every few days

I'm still here. We moved and got a whole new group of chicks that are about 8 weeks old right now.
