I'm hoping at least one more hatches or I may have a house/errands chicken for the next 4 months so it isn't lonely. None of mine are broody and I don't think the last 2 are going to.
Good Morning and Happy Sunday.
Yesterday started off with me letting the babies out only to find that one of my Japanese Bantams didn't wake up. His brother was beside himself. They were the only two in that pen as I rescued them after having my other bantam flocks established with their roos...
Late yesterday evening, I moved the 7 babies from the outside brooder to their transition pen. There are 4 Barred Rocks and 3 Jersey Giants. All layers. They will be joing the Regulator Pen with the BCM, Buff Orpingtons, Buff Brahma and the man of the yard Bruce.

I was looking on Farmish today to see if there were any that needed homes.

The best thing was the one who passed was a 6 in serama. Bruce is a 23 in dark brahma.. the biggest boy got b$%/### slapped by the smallest!! Lol
He came to me this morning like normal and cuddles, so I think we are OK:)

Ii need to get this off my chest. I don't know wether to laugh or cry. When I locked up all the coops tonight, I found one of my boys had passed. Nothing wrong with him. No other birds show signs of anything. It looked almost like he fell off the roost and maybe broke his neck on the way down...

Hi everyone! I was off for awhile but I still check in here and there. Life has not been the smoothest road lately. Almost puts a Pennsylvania backroad to shame.
I did want to share that I wrote a short story based on the story I tell my flocks when it's their first time with Santa. It's more...
