This cross will produce.

50% Black Barred males and 50% White Males(with black spots similar to the Erminette pattern)

50% Black females and 50% White females(with black spots similar to the Erminette pattern)

That is correct, until the feathers start to grow and the ones with black spot show the barring pattern(or lack of the barring pattern)

Are these Cochins blue or black? I know the one girl is blue, but the other two are really dark and sort of in between. The rooster seems black to me but I am not sure! Also if he were to breed would his leakage continue in his chicks? Thank you!

That’s what I was thinking too But in person the smallest girl is SO dark. The pics do help with seeing the lacing. You think the roo is blue too?

Also, can you explain what color chicks I’d get mixing a lavender rooster over a mauve hen? Would they be all black? Would chocolate show up? I don’t really understand the chocolate/mauve coloration. My hen is either a mauve or mauve splash and I’m just curious what her chicks might look like. Thanks!!
