Swollen chicken leg

Hi I have a 6 month old black copper maran who about a month ago started limping with a swollen leg overnight. I checked and there does not appear to be any bumble foot issues going on so I assumed she had strained/ broken it at first and splinted her leg. It then seemed to get a bit worse and is hot to the touch and swollen with some scale separation and oozing. It looks infected to me I’m just not sure with what if that’s the case or how to treat it. I have been giving epsom salt baths and wrapping it in Neosporin/ Vaseline ointment but it seems to just be getting worse. Any suggestions as to what could be happening/ how to treat?

Can he walk or stand? Can you get him to a vet? It looks like he needs some strong antibiotics. Do you think it was injured, snakebite, or is from a spider bite? Can you get any antibiotics, such as cephalexin, clindamycin, or Baytril? I am not a vet, but that looks bad, and especially if it has been going on for a month.

Edited to say, that I just looked over your previous thread, and the wound did not look so bad at first. Was the leg broken or have compound fracture a month ago?

She can walk/hop on the other leg but isn’t putting weight on this one any more. She is still eating and drinking thankfully so just seems to be confined to the leg right now. I have a vet appointment next week since this doesn’t seem to be resolving with anything I am trying. I’m not sure if it was broken last month that was my assumption at the time. It wasn’t a compound fracture as I checked initially. It could have been a bite that I couldn’t properly see due to swelling. Thank you for the advice!
