this is the first time I have collected my own eggs for incubating and have stored them at room temp of like 72 degrees or so…. Not the 60 degree recommended. I guess I will just set them this Friday anyway and see how they do..

Got a wine cooler to store fertile eggs prior to incubation

Set all the eggs I had stored in a drawer for that last 10 days in the bator. I’m sure there is close to 100 if not more. We will see if any hatch.

How’s the incubation process going? Have you candled any yet?

Going to candle tonight. Day 8.2 or so.

Just candled them. 93 still going but the Marans are hard to tell. Threw one live Marans away. I thought I saw a blood ring but it was viable…. Threw about 13 or so out.

I’ll see how many actually hatch but if most hatch then I’m not keeping them all.
