Hi everyone! We live in Tennessee and our little flock of 4 is our first flock. A search for non-Chinese meal worms brought me here. Is there such a thing?

You could try raising them yourself. They are really easy. They also can eat your veggie scraps! Just get a moderate sized a bin and drill some holes in the lid. Put down about 2-3 inches of rolled oats or a specific mealworm substrate and you should be good to go. Feed them once a week and they should turn into beetles and start reproducing like crazy!Hi everyone! We live in Tennessee and our little flock of 4 is our first flock. Mmm (in a yes that’s a good idea way not in a yum yum way) I’m trying to get hubby to “grow” some as I can’t look at live ones without retching.
Hi, you could try raising your own. There's an article about that in the Learning Center: The Easy Way to Raise Mealworms There are other articles too, you can find them using the Search tool.
Best wishes!
