I have a week old quail chick who yesterday started limping. I now believe he jumped and landed weird. I don’t think it is spradde: neither joint is swollen, couldn’t feel a slipped tendon, looks the same as each other and the other chicks. His right leg is not pointing straight but instead to the right. Could a sprain cause this? Is it possibly a hip dislocation? I am running out to buy another heat lamp so I can put him in a smaller brooder seperate from the othe chicks so he has only a short distance to food and water and wont have to move around so much. What else should I do? Do I need to try splinting and putting him in a sling? Aso wondering if it would be smart to put one or two other chicks in his mini brooder with him so he doesnt get loney. Any advice is appreciated!

Small update: Just checked him out again and I really think this is a dislocation. Can a dislocation be fixed?
