My ducks are the only ones that still use the tubes. Have the wooden feeders on two coops now and am planning on small versions for the brooder cages.

My husband just finished this, we used a T with 2 90's (wondering if we need 45's). I filled it up and it didn't really fill into the elbows. I had to reach my hand in and pull it out. Is this normal? Will the chickens pull it out? Or would 45's help? I use a whole grain feed, not pellets. It's night and they haven't tested it out yet, but I had to stick my hand in pretty farto get it out. Not sure if that's normal.

Looks good. There are some feeders that are straight across with a cap at the end with slots across the tops for feed. If the elbow is tighter to the column, gravity should work a little better.

Yes we have that style for inside the coop. This one is in the run and I wanted to be able to put caps on it to keep the mice out at night.

I'd probably use a Y connector instead of the T to make sure the feed is gravity feed down? I'm not sure 2 45s would work. Hopefully someone else has actually tried it

You can also cut back the tops of the elbows so the chickens don't have to reach in so far.
