Hi, I was at a park today and I saw a couple welsh harlequin or appleyard ducks on the pond. Do y’all think they are fine or should I ask if It’s ok to take them? I did see a nest nearby with one egg in it that I think might be theirs.

Sure wouldn't hurt to ask. They are gorgeous.
Yes they are, I Personally could not take them because I can’t handle any more drakes and I wouldn’t want to split them up. I thought I would call the management of the park and let them know about the domestic ducks and see if they can do anything about transferring them somewhere else

Look for a waterfowl rescue close in your state. Here in NC we have Carolina Waterfowl rescue
So I just talked to a rescue center and they personally don’t rescue ducks right now because of the avian influenza going around but they had me send them pictures of the ducks and they were going to pass it on to somebody else that does.
