Awww, I am sorry to hear it wasn't alive. *HUGS* No, it's not TMI for me, I'm glad you found out and let me know.Thank you..I used the first link and put a safety hole then decided to open the air cell..the chick was very dry and has been dead for at least a few days. Eye sockets but no eyes and yolk almost all absorbed except for a small amount that didn’t smell too good…sorry if this tmi but at least I didn’t post a picture. So I guess the chirp I thought I heard was option 1 or 2 or maybe I heard one of my chicks or a bird from outside lol
I did a couple eggtopsies myself this hatch, I didn't open the one too much once I saw it wasn't alive ( had lots of yolk yet), but the one that had developed to almost hatching I did. It was something I wouldn't have been able to help, malpositioned for hatch, the head between the legs not under the wing. I did get a photo of that one more for educational purposes.
