Now anyone there in the first person who can't tell candy from coop stuff should really get a little more training. I need to do a deep cull on the layer house. Not sure if I will restock it to the same level. May let attrition do its thing. Just don't have time lately to do things right...

Hadn't seen it, but it sure sounds like pullet eggs with a rich bloom to me.

Hope all is well after the storms, Ravyn and K. Been hectic here, cold and wet, a whole season's worth of chores undone while working on DD's house. Turkey processing was yesterday, harvested 19 and sold off 8 as live birds. Only kept one young hen over for spring, gonna downsize my hatching...

All you can do is raise them right and let them find their way in the world. I gotta see the tattooed dogs and cats. Y'all see that silly girl in Canada who let someone who didn't have a clue dye her sclera? She's lucky that treatment for the infection appears to be working.

Checking in...thousands of posts behind. Daughter closed on buying her great-grandparents' house. Our puppy is getting big way too fast. I'm putting on a lot of road and air miles and hours for work with a lot more to go. Can't sleep nights...travel proved it's the bed so waiting on a new...

Thanks. I'll take some photos coming into and going out of Houston. My sister's place is still inaccessible by land, still no power, and no phone lines. If she is up to it, we'll pull the Firebird out for a Saturday night show and shine, and maybe go fishing if the coastal towns made it...

Been putting in long hours on the house that is to be DD's. Today, 8 1/2 hours by myself, while she slept in. Gotta wonder if I am crazy or what to be doing this. But I made a lot of progress! Headed to Akron OH tomorrow for a 2 day business trip. Gonna take the Amish country byways :)

Roo uses his tail to push aside the hen's tail. Without tail feathers, it's just a butt wiggle.

Our company had a conference scheduled next week in Miami...cancelled that. I was supposed to go to Jacksonville next Wednesday...customer cancelled that. Been a few years since I rode out a hurricane. Bret and Dolly...amazing what damage a little wind and water can do.

Lack of a tail can cause infertility. Not always, but if you find he isn't doing the job, chalk it up to that... Awesome!

I don't have anything helpful or constructive to say...just prayers to Lily, to her family, and friends of the family who are supporting them, and to searchers who are trying to find her.
