    English orpingtons remind me of a cochin without the feathered feet. Should be large and round in appearance.

    Those black ones look like an American orpington a "hybrid" to deal with the heat better. Yours looks like an English orpington.

    I had very poor hatches doing it your way. I gave a lot of thought about what was happening to the yolk and air sac being in constant shift during shipping. From that perspective, I thought maybe I can reform it's shape but it required the heat of the the incubator to help liquefy the content...

    I did this on my purchase of 6 Phoenix hatching eggs on Ebay and all 6 hatched out.
