    There were two Great Blue Herons flying over the property late yesterday at dusk. Not sure if it was a mating or territorial thing. I heard them before I saw them and assumed geese. One was definitely pursuing the other. Lots of acrobatics and things happening in the air.

    The barn swallows here usually have 3-4 clutches over the summer depending on how hot it gets. The Phoebe nests where I can't see them on the house, but I usually notice one batch of babies.

    My barn swallows have shown up to nest all over the house for the spring and summer. I had feeders out when it was cold but have stopped for the moment to try and get all the cowbirds and red-winged blackbirds to find other places to be.
