In fact, I have some 3 week old babies that are not named yet! 
Me and my family have been raising chickens for 5 years (will be 6 years April 18th). These are all my flock members, past and present, that I have ever owned and a bit about them!
Our main reason was for eggs and some meat, but I wasn't going to let any of my hens become chicken dinner! But the nasty roosters can! 
We found out that chickens also make great pets, so we love our girls very much!

Our First Batch of Chickens!
We had already placed an order from Meyer Hatchery for 13 Assorted Layers and a Meal Maker. But before these guys came, we wanted to make sure we actually enjoyed chicks before it was too late to cancel the order.
Going to Tractor Supply, there was Golden Comet pullets, hearing these are good layers we bought them. (Much later though, I came to the conclusion that I am never raising this breed again), for many reasons that I will explain later.
We got four of them, and named them Egg Yolk, Marsala, Sleepy, and Digger.
Everyone in the family named one! Although at present, I am in charge of naming the chickens!

First Meyer's Clan
Come August 26th 2019 those Assorted Layer Chicks from Meyer Hatchery had arrived! 
It turned out that we got 3 Buff Orpingtons, 5 New Hampshire Red, and 6 Barred Rock! 
Many of them have since passed away, but will always be remembered!
