Wild berries in yard...safe for my chickens?

Until you know what they are I would not purposely offer them or help them get any. It might convince them to eat something they shouldn't. If they come across it on their own though with other things to eat they seem very good about picking something healthy over something potentially dangerous. The only time it's a danger is when there is nothing else that's healthy or you make them think they should eat it by offering some.

Can you at least say the berry color and shape? Are they smooth, bumpy, long, round... If you pull one off does it come out hollow leaving the middle behind or whole?
