What is the purpose of the sand? Bedding or grit?

Where do you live?
I bet I can google your zip code and find at least 5 places to buy sand by the ton within an hour's drive of your house.

People build houses, pour foundations, lay brick and stone, mix mortar, etc. all over the world. I've never been anywhere in the world that didn't have some business selling construction sand.

Your local sand and gravel pit. Google it or look in your phone book under "sand" or "gravel".

I follow the chicken chick on facebook and she highly recommends some type of contractor/builders sand. Is this something I can purchase at Lowes? FTR I live in Ft Worth, TX. TIA.

She states that she doesn’t recommend Home Depot or Lowes because they are dusty.
