What hurt my duckling?

1 month old duckling (Keith) was outside with his Momma and the rest of our muscovy flock (free range during daylight). We noticed that his Mom was fighting with another female in our flock. After breaking it up we found the baby on the other side of the barn hiding and wounded. We gave him a dawn soap and vinegar warm bath, sprayed his wound with microcyn, bandaged his wound, and put him in an inside brooder. He is now resting quietly under the heat lamp, and is not acting lethargic or distressed. He is walking, peeping, and able to move his little wings like normal.

My question is, does anyone have any ideas what happened? Could one of our ducks have done this to him? If so, was it most likely the drake? Or maybe the female the mom was fighting with?

I would think if it was a bird of prey I would see puncture marks, and i would think if it was a land predator he would be dead based on where we found him, but could another duck have hurt him this bad?
Note: We walked the fence and coop and didn’t find his down or blood anywhere.

Thank you for the help. I appreciate your response even if it is just speculation!
