Water glassing question

Have been considering water glassing eggs for a bit, and this is probably the dumbest question but what is considered an unwashed egg? Like just rinsing them off with water? Or like using soap? Thanks in advance!

Unwashed means literally that. Eggs are protected by a natural bloom. If you wash an egg then the bloom is removed and the eggs will spoil after you drop them into the brine. Simply select clean, uncracked eggs and drop them into your solution.

So water itsself will wash off the bloom? Probably another crazy question, how does the mixture not wash anything off?

Thats actually a very good question! The pickling solution seals the bloom. Here is an article that explains it pretty well.

What if eggs are cold outside and brought into a warm house where condensation forms? Is that a form of "washing" if I don't rub it, but just let them dry?

I would let them dry don't rub them , just stack them pointy end down, pour solution and place in a cool place . I just ate mine from 9/22.
