Hi there! i am completely new to eggs preservation. I put my unwashed eggs in the refrigerator earlier this week because i didn't have my supplies to water glass. Do you think that ruined them or can I still water glass them? thank you for all advice
Don't waterglass those eggs. Eat them now and save new eggs for waterglassing.
Don't wash the eggs you want to preserve. The chicken puts a protective layer, called "bloom" or "cuticle" over the shell as it's laid. That seals the pores in the shell and prevents bacteria from getting in.
If you ever see bits of poop stuck to the shell of an egg, don't waterglass that one. Use just the cleanest ones, and don't wash them, as that removes the bloom.
