Chuker is so fun! here we only have mostly sage grouse. I think we have ruffed grouse but I don’t know. I use a 20 gauge for anything from a turkey to a dove.

i like both my 12 ga and 20 ga shotgun

where i live shotguns bows,and rim fire rifles are legal for upland game birds, i know guys who use .17 hmr for grouse, was told that my great uncle used a .22 for pheasants

i wouldnt want to be hunting down range of a .22 or a .17... any rifle actually... and i got a 12 gauge semi auto it only is the improved tube so the pattern and stuff is perty terrible at the moment....

ya, don't blame you. but i don't know anyone who uses dogs for birds. we really don't push birds out or do drives, rifles are used more up north in bush country, shot them in head then you don't pick and shot out of the meat. kinda just walk trails or drive with an atv.

but where also shooting birds on the ground, yes i know some hunters have issue with that but each there own.
