Small Eggs, No Yolk

All it is egg whites, no discoloration just a small bit of egg white. When she started this late Dec- early Jan she laid 2 normal sized eggs. No issues with those. they were totally normal. Lately though this is all she lays, didnt get one from her yesterday, and today. She is a Plymouth Rock.

So I am a bit confused & worried.

There is usually some little piece of tissue in there, otherwise the body wouldn't 'complete' the egg.

Yeah no, there hasnt been any blood/tissue in the eggs, just egg whites and a little foggy stuff but that's it.

I have been searching BYC forums of previous posts, and one person stated that too much calcium can cause this?

Is this fact?

I had a duel purpose Hen in my first flock that only ever laid fairy eggs. She went to a pet home.

Rocky was always a good layer, never laid fairy eggs and never had one till recently. I know shes about roughly 3-4 years old. I moved to az in 2014 and got her and a few others a year later, she is fully feathered and plump, so I dont fully understand this blip.

Hmmm, not sure about that...but haven't seen this before.
Your other birds are laying fine, so it's not likely a diet issue?
She could just be an odd one.
As long as she's eating/drinking/pooping/moving around OK,
not sure there's much you can do about it.
Was thinking earlier my friend would be thrilled with those for her 'egg white omelets'.

No other chicken has been doing this, all of the others are Ameraucana's and I havent yet gotten a fairy egg from any of them, she is a eater for sure - I think she is the head hen in the house to be honest.

My brother enlaw is a egg white lover so ill just give them to him LOL


Still curious though about the normal eggs she layed, where those like the last of the line LOL
