Run roost help

I’m thinking of adding a roost or a couple roosts into my run to give my birds something to do during the day. I’m thinking of almost building shelves, but kind of like a ladder too. So they would be in a row going up, the bottom one would be farther out and then they would gradually go in. Wood or pvc pipe, if i were to use pvc pipe what size? Does this sound like it would work? Can anyone give me any ideas on other roosts for the run? Here’s some pictures of the run set up now:

I wouldn't use PVC, unless you can rough it up considerably so it's not smooth and slippery.

I just use branches, though since my run is chain link the branches can just slide into the wire openings.

You can get pretty creative with run perches, it can be an actual structure, a modified wood ladder, or something as simple as a secured pole with branches sticking out.

I was thinking a ladder kind of…. one part would be 2 pieces of cut 4x4 maybe like 12 inches as the bottom supports and i would secure that to both of run supports and then use a 2x4 (i read ab pvc perches) across the 2 4x4s (if that makes sense). so it kind of would look like a shelf

I happened to have one that was heading to the dumpster. Maybe look on CL or marketplace.
Realistically, if I didn't have the ladder, I probably would have added some tree limbs as those are easy to get and change out if needed.

I use branches from the wood and salvaged some nice shelf/porch brackets to fiz them to the sides of the run. Mine love having preening parties on them right after breakfast.

To give you and idea, here's some roosts in my run. It's actually where they prefer to sleep now, but I'll see them using the roosts in the daytime too.
