I never wear matching socks, but they have to be the same brand/ style. ex: I buy a pack of socks. the pack has 2 blue and 2 green socks. I wear a green sock on my right foot, and a blue sock on my left. I then buy another pack of socks, that are a different brand. this time, there are pink socks and white socks. I will wear a pink sock with a white sock, or a green sock with a blue sock. the brands do not mix.

It has never once crossed my mind that wearing mismatched socks was acceptable or, perish the thought, desirable. Apart from looking tacky, different socks have different shapes, fabrics, cuts, etc. and the idea of having two different sensations on my feet makes me shudder.

My neighbor wears mismatched socks every day. They are so bad, one is usually a tall tube sock and the other is a short ankle sock. And they are different colors and patterns. Weirdo
