A super easy and cheap forage style toy is to get some hemp twine, and wooden beads (no paint or finish) I used to tie a big clump of strands of hemp twine together and attach it to the bars on the cage so that the “ponytail” cascades past a popular perch, knot some wooden beads into it at various heights of the strands and my bird would groom it for hours, we called it his girlfriend haha. Seriously hemp and wooden beads and dowels, you can braid and knot hemp, even like friendship bracelet styles of knots can be used as long as they aren’t knotted too tight, leave it unfastened at an end, with a couple inches of loose strands at the end, and your bird will probably immediately start trying to unravel it.
