New babies of the year!

So adorable! :love
Thank you on both, and with new pictures of our little baby I’m leaning towards it being a baby girl. Which I’m highly hoping for!

Well we almost had a catastrophe last night, found a stray cat in my chicken coop just before it got in the hen house. I scared it off and made it where it couldn’t get in the coop.

Been a while since I posted.

Sadly last Saturday we lost our baby chick I started this forum with. Was almost 6 months old, we don’t know who or what killed her.

I do have a bit of good news we have 6 new baby chicks hatch 2 of them was today, one of them is Zoey’s full sibling the other is a half sibling. I do find it crazy that Zoey was yellowish when she hatched, but these two babies are black, I don’t know about the one as it’s not fully out of the egg yet. But the one that is a full sibling has golden feathers in different spots. The dad was pure black till it was a teenager when his golden feathers appeared.

Anyways enjoy the new babies!

The breed? Our chicks just hatched and look exactly black and yellow like yours

mom is silver phoenix/game bird dad is silver phoenix/maran

Sadly both babies died later that day.
Great chickens you have there. Ours was the black australorp rooster (Chanticleer) and the mother could be a silver-laced wyandotte or a black sex link.

Sorry for the grainy picture, I don't have a recent picture of the silver-laced wyandotte so I took a screenshot from a video I took awhile ago

Pretty babes.

The baby that was still hatched his mom was our australorp in the one pic next to our rooster. From what I could see poking out of the egg it had some gold to.

I have some eggs going now in my incubator they will be:

Australorp/silver phoenix/maran
Amercana/silver phoenix/maran

Dutch bantam/nankin bantam

For the Americans in the pic with 3 hens it’s middle or left don’t know who laid the egg.

I really like your chickens. I believe we have a Nankin bantam too. Keep me posted on the eggs.

Will do! And thank you, I’m really looking forward to see what the babies will look like. Hopefully won’t lose these little ones.

I was able to get a good picture of Eagle and her hei hanging out my two bantam Roos who are best friends, Eagle is a polish and doesn’t crow.
