Neighbors complaining about flies

Useing wood chips isn't deep litter method I use 2/3 brown fall leaves dried grassto 1/3 green.fresh cut grass Flies not a issue.

Yes, I use grass clippings and leaves also.

I am NOT sure all the flies are coming from my birds.
The people who live next door have chickens.
The lady behind us has about 100 ducks, chickens, turkeys, and god knows what else, all illegal as we're only supposed to have 3 birds.
I have noticed in my own house a HUGE spike in flies in the past 2 days.
I suspect it's the hot weather and they're all just hatching out.

I ordered vanilla air fresheners, a couple of fly traps, and some fly paper.
I went out and raked up the run.
I may have to sell off two of my girls

Why are they picking on you? I don't see five chickens making enough flies to cry about. You got some crappy neighbors, maybe they are drawing the flies.

Sprinkle food grade de over the mulch and rake it a bit.

Document, with video if possible photographs otherwise, what steps you have made to reduce flies that may be originating from your land.

Your comment on a neighbour having 100 ducks leads me to think they are more likely the source of the flies, but in the event that you are somehow flagged as the source you can provide evidence you have took steps to reduce your impact. If possible get footage of the neighbour with 100 ducks land, especially if it is visually messy.

I'm guessing that's in inches? Perhaps you can post pics of your setup. Maybe we can improve your setup which in return may reduce the flies. If tge flies are even coming from you to begin with.
