I like them better than chickens.

I love my chickens, but they are pros at slackin, that's for sure

Do all duck breeds lay well, or are just a few of them more well known for it?

So are mine.

Most breeds lay fairly well some better than others, mallards are still mallards and only lay clutches (or so I've heard) pekins are decent layers, runners are just plain awesome!

Yeah. I've always loved them. My uncle had them for as long as I can remember until the spring of last year, he had to get rid of them because he had cancer and couldn't take care of them. Though thankfully he has fully recovered from the cancer. e
