Lemon Blue Rooster (Not My Bird)

Lemon Blue is for the most part a Brown Red fowl with the Black replaced with Blue.

Won't be this year but next season I will make a few Lemon Blues using this girl. I will be showing her and her 1/2 brother at the Central Indiana Poultry Show this coming Sat in Lebanon Indiana as Brown Reds. She here is about 7 months old. She is now closer to 11 months old.

Last year I used the original mix of Buff Orp and Meyer hatchery Black mutt mix which was to be a Jersey Giant, he is an 11 lbs plus cock who sired my line of Brown Reds too.
Here is what he made with a very lousy Blue Splash. I sold her this summer to a Chef for his use as a layer. He really can care less of what he has. But she lays well. Her type for an Orp is lousy and that is why I got rid of her. I expect to improve with the Brown Red I have with a nice size Blue Orp cock. So I hope!

your boy looks Golden instead of Lemon but that must be dominant Dilute and Blue fading pheomelanin... I realy like that color...
