Hi everyone,
This is my first post and I’m super excited to be here. We have a little hobby farm with tons of chickens, ducks and goats. We also recently acquired what we thought were 3 male Lionhead rabbits. Turns out however that one of them was female!! As soon as we realized we separated her but it was too late and she was already pregnant! (We clearly aren’t very good at sexing and turns out neither was the person we got them from!)

She gave birth to 6 beautiful kits October 28th! I have read a lot about sexing them and some say you can do so as early as the day of birth, saying that it’s easier to do before they get all that fur down there! I know it may not be possible right now, but I figured I’d come and ask for some help here and see what everyone has to say! These pictures are from today, they are officially 11 days old today and starting to open their precious little eyes!

I will take more pictures or wait longer if necessary. I read that if you push and pull back a little bit while holding them belly up that you should be able to tell, but I didn’t want to push too hard on them, they are just so little!

Let me know your opinions!

The grey one looks like a boy. White.....maybe female🧐

If the 6 photos are 6 different bunnies, I think the first 2 are males.

The third photo (2nd dark-colored one), I think might be a male that would be more obvious if you pushed just a little harder, but I'm not entirely sure.

The 4th photo I think is a female, 5th I think male.

The 6th I can't tell, which might mean you didn't push quite hard enough, or it might mean that I just can't tell.

For all of them, I would suggest checking again every few weeks until they are fully grown up, to hopefully catch any mistakes.

(For all of them: I certainly could be wrong. I've sexed plenty of bunnies in person, and was usually right but not always. I have a bit more trouble with photos. After they are grown up enough to be obvious, I'll be curious to know how many I got right.)

Haha thank you! Maybe I’ll just post weekly updates to see if there are any differences in the weeks to come! They are all so tiny still!

I see two white females.
One brown pic was a little funky tho, so you may have a third girl.

At this stage a lot of males have a taco shaped penis, so I would check back in a about a week.
I will definitely check again in a week and all the weeks to come. I’m sure as they grow it’ll be a little easier to tell. Thank you for your insight! :)

Here are some updated pics from today. Any differences in opinion from before? It’s so hard to get pictures they are so wriggly and mobile now haha!
