Help, KC isn’t acting right

Hi everyone,

My beloved Khaki Campbell that I hand raised from hatching isn’t acting right. It began three days ago. She has been staying in the coop all the time. At first, I thought maybe she was broody, but I’m unsure. She has no cuts, bruises, etc.; isn’t shaking her head; still eats and drinks, but maybe not as much; but her eyes look tired. I’ve been wondering if maybe she isn’t seeing right, too. She is almost one year old, female, and has always been a friendly and active thing who loves to swim and cuddle. We do not have a good avian vet around, and I’m unsure what to make of this. I’ve given her vitamins and probiotics, and I make sure she has her own food and water in the coop with her. Any ideas, recommendations, advice? Seen this before? I’ve attached a picture of her eyes.

Thank you! No, she is not a sole duck. She has three other companions, one male. She is beginning to get a bit wobbly and won’t lay down. She just stands in one spot for hours. Eating: a few bites, drinking: only a couple sips when I bring her to the water. I’ve got a camera on her to watch more closely.

here is the best way to give it by mouth without aspirating them.

If you have tums or another form of calcium you can try giving her some until you get the cal glu. Also nice warm soaks in the tub can sometimes help.

I just had an Orpington hen [chicken] who was egg bound I gave her 1 ml of calcium gluconate and she did lay. Sometimes it has to be given more than once but hopefully it won't be the case with your KC if this is what her problem is. keep us updated please.

Thank you so so much. I will do all of that and keep you updated. She has been eating a little more and drinking still, so that is good. No egg yet as of 6am this morning. The cal flu is out for delivery.
