Giving electrolytes to baby chicks

I've been adding electrolytes to the water since I got my babies a week ago. Will it hurt them? I'll give them some plain water from now on.

I've been adding electrolytes to the water since I got my babies a week ago. Will it hurt them? I'll give them some plain water from now on.

It's high in sodium, which is why you don't want to give it long term. Occasional use to deal with stress is fine (like sudden high or low temperatures, recovering from a move or predator attack).
