top view. will cover with a little dirt once its in the water so plants can grow. make sure there are some gaps for roots. the last dock wasn't used until i put some mud on it and plants grew. 
upside down and incomplete. still needed a few more bottles. I made one of these years ago and it outlived that batch of ducks. Now that I have ducks again, it was time to make another. Its pretty simple to make. Need 32 2-liter soda bottles with caps, a wooden pallet, some thin boards, screws or nails, and a freezer. Put the empty bottles in the freezer, wait till the air inside is cold, then screw the cap on. This will pressurize them and keep them from collapsing with temperature/pressure changes causing holes.
