Community corner. They have a ton of space now. there will be 5 EE's and one Bielefelder in one, and two BO's two Marans and one EE in the second. I held off putting my blue copper marans outside because the right side of her head is still swollen a bit, but her eye is open now, and the swelling is half what it was. The two BO's loved picking food off everyone's beak and I suspect one of them poked her in the eye. Geronimo, an EE is staying inside with her to keep her company because he/she's small compared to the rest of the chicks.

I love all the chicken stories this morning!!! Some adorable and some harrowing, but all very chickenish.

I absolutely love letting the chicks out of a brooder and can't wait until mine can get out into the larger run.

The grand daughter came down got the birds, had them in the garage

Oh My Goodness!! It's a babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! First egg hatched, actually pipped and hatched in less than six hours! Two more pipping now. How long do I leave the first baby in the incubator, until they have all hatched? I'm soooooooooo EGG CITED.... NEED MOAR COFFEEH!

Cheep!! It's habbeningggggggg! Two chicks in the brooder... another almost there.
