Chest growth?

We've got 6 little chicks and I noticed today that the Americauna has a weird looking growth over her chest, just off to the right where her crop would be as an adult. They're only 2 weeks old this Friday. This weird growth I swear was on her back shoulder the other day. I was telling my wife "hey look at this weird lump by her wing" and now its kinda of scaly, feathers look matted, and it's definitely bigger. Feels kind of like a lipoma or "chunky" tissue. What the heck is this thing?

Pictures would be good. If it's moving freely under the skin, I'd suspect some kind of weird tumor.
