One of my bantams is about 4-5 weeks old. She's(?) developed a ridge of bumps going up the top of her beak and onto her head. Does this mean rooster? or is it meaningless at this point?

I could be either. You can post pics on the "What Breed or Gender is This?" section and people will give their best guesses. Sometimes it is easy, other times it is not.

I have chicks the same age as you. They all have combs to some degree. Some of my breeds all seem to have larger ones than other breeds, but I have three Barred Plymouth Rocks and two have much larger combs and they are much more red than the other Barred Rock, as well as some of the other chicks. It's just a waiting game at this point to see which way mine go. In a few weeks, you'll know.

Tried to take a pic but my wife has one of those 800000000 megapixel cameras and I can't figure the camera out. But i could get a perfect pic if I were 800 feet away from the chicken

I'll get her to take a pic later.

But I'm american. I hate waiting.
