Bantam Rhode Island Red Thread

Today; these lil guys and gals are 17 weeks old.
I call this one 'Old McDonald'. He looks so typical.

I'm having to hunt these youngin's down just to get a pic. Only two at the feeder. The rest are in the hay barn enjoying the cool breeze coming through. They enjoy free ranging during the daylight hours.

Well; Old McDonald started exercising his crowing this morning. Did pretty good. Much better sounding to me than the other breeds I have. He's 18 weeks old, yesterday.

On another note: I found a very small brown egg yesterday. I'm presuming it is from one of these girls.

Ohhhh   My RIR bantam is almost a year old and has never laid an egg.  How old is your RIR Bantam?????  (that laid the egg)

She is 20 weeks old as of Sunday. There are 7 of them, and only one egg. I've started turning the lights on for them at 5:45 am, hoping more active hours would get them going. But; Nada!
