Purchased Chicks from Private person. The eggs were given to them to hatch for someone. They were not certain of what spelling to use for these chicks.

They are feathering out now. I had read on here somewhere that true Ameraucana's are to have pea combs, slate legs, and pink feet. Which is what these little cuties are appearing to have.

What do you guys think? The first chick shown had a dusky yellowish/lavender ish colored type down as a hatchling. Now it is feather out white wing feathers? Is it a white Ameraucana? If so dominant or recessive white? Is there anyway to tell the difference in those chicks at hatch- meaning whether the dom/rec white by down colors?

Second chick will be in comments below

Next up is this little guy- Also from the same hatch. I'm more curious about what the color variety this is called then what it is though. Most of the chicks have some variation of these colors. They are white, black, blue/grey, and what appears to be salmon? Just was curious about the coloring on them and if it is a known variety?

* Looking at the photos on my end the salmon color appears more red/orangish in the picture then it actually is. In person it looks pink/salmon, the feet also are pink not white. I think the flash muddled the colors slightly

If they are Ameraucanas, they're not a recognized variety to my knowledge, just a mixed color. I'm not sure if they're pure, the leg color seems off.

Can you show me a photo of what their legs are supposed to look like in chicks and adults?
Here are a few pictures of mine (you may need to zoom in on some). I don't know how close their legs/feet really are to the standard, but this is the example I can give you. Yours may have the correct leg color and my screen is just giving them a weird greenish tint, but I still don't think they're a recognized feather color, which may make some consider them not Ameraucanas. What color eggs they will lay is a big factor in determining if they are pure or not.

Very interesting. That is the exact same color shank/feet color as my rooster in my colored egg pen. Not sure that his color would be recognized though.
