2ed shipment of chick

We got the replacement order of chickcs in today we ordered 34 + 1 free and the shipped 52 birds. They showed up in great shape with only 2 loss's.

I can't even imagine the look on my wife's face if we got a box with 52 chicks inside!!!

Do you think it is the cold weather? My friend got her 50 from McMurray. While I was over there four more died she has lost half so far. They are shipping more out to here but it took them four days to get to the post office...poor little guys....I hope her next shipment is better....

the first order I only ended up with 11 alive out of 50 so they replaced the order an i must say we wonted 35 total we now have 61

we will raise them all we have 78ac for them to run on. I might sell or give a few of the roos away to some one if they need a roo.

Looks like we might need to look in to selling some eggs

hmmm How long will fresh eggs last?

I also have honey bees so I could sell honey and egg
