14th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-Along

I dont have very recent ones but will take some when i get home. They are growing haha.
Nobody near me wants any yet so i still have them, thinking its because they're bym so i may have them until i know they're hens or until they are at laying age. Don't know. May become auction birds this saturday.

I interrupted their sunbathing. Second and third photos I think are cockerels. I'd put money on the second.

The big kids are three weeks older and still picking on them a little bit, but Lindsey (second photo) is starting to peck to back.

I sold my Easter hatched chicks. I also sold the chicks I hatched on the 28th and 29th.

A cat attacked them and only 4 survived

Awesome! what incubator did you get?

I bought a Sailnovo on Amazon that can hold 55 egg's. So far the digital stuff seems to be holding good. I moved some duck egg's and some Naked Neck chicken egg's in it. Those are due on the 20th. Then I will be filling it up again with some more egg's.

Cute, what breeds?

I'm not sure. The guy I got the eggs from said Jersey Giant, but they could be a mix. The little black one is getting white spots on her back feathers - it almost looks like when my SLW feathers started getting their white.

Cute! what are the green and yellow things? Some sort of wing band?

They're elastic bands from one of those friendship bracelet loom kits. I double them over on their legs when they first hatch, but they outgrow that by about 2 weeks of age, so I put them over their wings at that point instead to keep certain ones marked until they're old enough for their permanent leg bands. Right side is the coop they came from (green for Gus's group) and left side is just individual ID.

Here are some of mine. They are already roosting. I'll try and get pictures of them on the roost tonight.
I thought I had 4 males and 2 females, but now I think it may be 5 males to 1 female.
