I don't dare buy a second incubator. Not unless I build another brooder (which would require running additional exterior electric). I'm having to tightly time my hatches for when I expect to take the current batch off heat already.
My brooder can handle 2 bators of chicks for about 2 weeks. Seeing as most will be sold 1st week, I should be fine.

That does sound like a good plan!

I did get into trouble one time when I raised a batch of pullets for a co worker-- that quit and then did not want them. I wound up over my limit in the City and had to process them.

I might be joining. Not sure yet. I just got a new roo and my flock was nearly wiped out by raccoons last year.
Might be joining myself, my whole flock but one was wiped out last summer by what I don't know. The one left hatched and I have three pullets laying now but I sure would like some more, start over, with a bullet proof run this time.
