pip

hi! I’m on day 21 with 6 silkies, 3 pipped earlier today and are chirping and moving, the other 3 are still rocking but no pips. 2 of the 3 pips are facing downwards, is this okay? They're within the air sac, just facing the floor of the incubator, I can’t get any good pics.

I've had quail for a while but always bought chicks! Today is day 16 on my very first eggs I have ever hatched. I am so excited and nervous!! I actually think I see the first pip! But I honestly have no idea what I'm doing! I sure hope I did everything right! :fl:wee:clap:celebrate:eek::jumpy

i have a update last night 3 of the ducklings started pipping noticed before i went to bed they were wiggling alot a few anothers are now wiggling more hopefully the others will pip within the next day or 2 will let you know when they hatch!

Does anyone know if this is an internal pip? The duckling has been quite lively and moving his egg around the incubator and then we saw this, is it an internal pip or just where he’s been pushing against it? p.s the hole in the egg is so it doesn’t suffocate

So it's day 29...no rocking, no pipping, nothing. The second day of incubation the plug came out so they cooled and we started again on day 3. Could this mean the eggs will just take longer to hatch? Or have my baby duckies died?
