    My auto drip pot has been broken for a few years, I just heat the water in a teakettle(after measuring it in the carafe) then pouring thru the filter/grounds.

    Too hot....250-300 is plenty. I rinse and let air dry, the drier the easier they crumble.

    I have fed flock raiser crumble for 7+ years...with OS in a separate feeder for the active layers(there's always some birds not laying-chicks, molters, cock/erels). Never had much trouble with leftover 'dust', they eat it up. Took me a couple iterations to come up with a feeder that deterred...

    Mine is ancient, and LOUD! But it changes the air in the house and blows the hot air out of the attic. I don't run it in the morning, too humid.

    ...or it just cant be seen from above the tubs ;) Yeah, sorry.....I just don't buy that the towers were evil, or that the tubs are any better.

    Have had Light Brahma, before and just got chicks. They are beautiful, big, mellow, eat a LOT and not great layers. I sold my last ones as pets, just bought more because I needed chicks 'today' and that's about all there was available.
