I have a sprout tray and grow alfalfa and wheat sprouts/fodder for the girls. They actually will eat it before scrambled eggs.

My husband, who did not want chickens, will call me at work to tell me who is on the nest, who laid an egg and who is singing the egg song. Its pretty comical. Then, when we are around family or friends... he complains about the chickens. Always trying to be the tough guy. He also complains...

Rumples laid her second real egg this morning. Wheee!!! It is larger than her first (58g. 1st was 44g) and it is a light shade of blue. I was getting worried because we were down to one egg for food and I know that Penny is good for about 4-5 a week. Whew.... Treats for all my girls!! Mama is...

I have a teaser too. Rumples laid her first real egg last week and I haven't seen another one from her since. It was a beautiful blue egg. I think that in time and warmer longer days, they will gift us with eggs. I just get cranky waiting for them.

LOL.. I have to use golf balls. If a golf ball gets kicked out of the nest, they will lay next to it on the ground. :)
