    Hi! I was beginning to wonder if there were any okies on here!

    I'm an okie too! Just southeast of Idabel, OK. I'm down to 6 chickens right now. When I cut back to part time next year I plan on getting some more. The ones I have right now are all black, but are a mix of australorp, brown leghorn and barred rock. The daddy was a straight black australorp. Very hardy and healthy they are 3 years old and still lay regularly.

    I've got alot of black chickens, as my main rooster is a black barred rock cross, all the chicks hatched this last year were black! I've got some gray roosters now and so the coloring should change with some of these chicks finally!!!
    I have 50+ chickens, 5 guinea, & 3 turkey..... 2 drakes & 4 ducks.
