Well… sad update…. She was out and about having a good day yesterday…decided she Was Not broody... BUT she just didn’t make it. I found she died in her sleep in the hen house.😕 I think she was older than they told me- her legs looked a different color. Anyway- I’ll blame the heat combined...

Could you elaborate, please? The earliest I can put the chick under her is tomorrow night. That would be day 5 broody. Chick will only be 3 days old. (The eggs she is sitting on 3 days are most likely NOT fertile... long story, so No Loss There.) :) Thanks .
